Richard is a Commercial Solicitor who conducts general commercial litigation. He is also able to advise on and assist with commercial documentation and business structures.
Richard was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia on 17 December 1973; as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales on 1 April 1985; and as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong on 11 July 1985.
From 1974 to 1976, Richard worked in London for two West End entertainment law firms. He returned to work with one of these firms as a locum between March of 1984 and February 1985.
From June 1978 until April 1989, Richard lived and worked in Hong Kong (with the exception of eleven months between March 1984 and February 1985 when he worked in London). For his first six years in Hong Kong, Richard worked for the Hong Kong Government. During his last four years in Hong Kong, Richard worked as a commercial litigation solicitor with a locally based expatriate firm for one year and then with a large international firm for three years. Whilst in Hong Kong, Richard litigated and advised on air cargo/passenger Warsaw Convention claims, disputed letters of credit and bills of exchange, international licensing and distribution agreements and construction issues.
From May 1989, upon returning to Adelaide, and since joining Rossi Legal in February 1993, Richard has engaged mainly in general commercial litigation as well as advising on documentation in the areas of entertainment, intellectual property, insolvency, construction, business acquisition, commercial structures and planning law.
